Christiana Cooper-Kuhn
I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, where I was fortunate to be surrounded by people that nurtured and helped me to develop a strong connection to nature and the outdoors. My passion for science resulted in a M.S. in Microbiology from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Regensburg, Germany. After having spent years in research, I finally made the decision to pursue my dream of science and nature filmmaking. Currently, I am a MFA candidate in the Science & Nature Filmmaking program at Montana State University – Bozeman. I feel very strongly about raising public awareness of scientific issues. In addition, many of my passions lie in sociopolitical issues (environment, conservation, human rights, etc.).

I am currently a MFA Student in the Science and Natural History Filmmaking program at Montana State University in Bozeman. I have a B.S. Ed. in Chemistry from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota and extensive experience in education.
I have taught high school chemistry, physics, and physical science in Ortonville, Minnesota. I have also been a Graduate Student Instructor in General and Organic Chemistry labs at the University of Michigan and Montana State University.
I am committed to educating and motivating the next generation of scientists, and see my work as a vital link between the doors of a laboratory and those of a classroom.

You guys are doing great work! Keep it up!
